Larry Stoler :: Clinical Psychologist

INTRODUCTIONS, PLEASE!
Dr. Stoler is a clinical psychologist who practices Integrative Psychotherapy. He has a social work degree and a doctorate in clinical psychology. In addition, he is an authority on Energy- Informed Psychology, integrative mind-body-spirit therapeutic methods that combines Western Psychology and Eastern healing principles.” A life long student of healers and healing, he is a qigong student and a certified practitioner of Master Nan Lu’s LifeForce Tao of Medical Qigong training. He is a past president of the Association for Comprehensive Energy Psychology.
SHOULD I SEE HIM? YES!
For Psychotherapy:
- If problems block you from being yourself more freely, or keep you from reaching the level of success you wish. This could include fear of flying or public speaking (or any phobia), panic attacks, continued distress after a traumatic experience, performance anxiety, unresolved anger or sadness, depression, compulsive urges, and others.
- If you are unhappy about yourself, or your work, or your life direction.
- If you are dissatisfied with the quality of your relationships, including your family and love relationships, and your relationship to your body.
- If you are having difficulty coping with a major or chronic illness.

For Medical Qigong:
- If you have a health problem that is not resolving, or you want to jumpstart your healing ability.
- If you want to experience an approach that promotes inner harmony, strengthens the function of your inner organs, and harmonizes mind-body and spirit.

- A collaboration aimed at helping you reach your goals as quickly as possible—with energy informed integrative psychology methods, sometimes this can be in just a few sessions.
- Education. You should leave therapy knowing more about yourself and your circumstances.
- Empowerment. You should leave therapy equipped with a number of ways to cope with difficulties, and promote healing.
- Confidentiality, honesty, genuine concern.
- An integrated team approach with others at WholeHealth Chicago, as needed.
WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT FROM TAO OF MEDICAL QIGONG SESSIONS?
- An assessment of your current condition from an integrative energetic framework informed by Traditional Chinese Medicine.
- To receive energy healing aimed at strengthening your energetic foundation, relieving pain and discomfort, unblocking stagnant energies, and promoting better meridian energy flow.
- To learn easy energy building and energy balancing exercises to do on your own to promote your own health.
